Where craft meets conscious living

SATTVA is a collective of trained craftswomen transforming skill into livelihood and fabric into thoughtful design.

Born from decades of grassroots work in Mumbai’s communities.

Our Story

SATTVAINDIA is a collective of trained craftswomen transforming skill into livelihood, and fabric into thoughtful design. It was not born in a boardroom. It was born in the hands of women - in the quiet hours of tailoring, stitching, and shaping something beautiful from almost nothing. Rooted in decades of grassroots work across Mumbai’s communities, it grew from the ground up, stitch by stitch.

Today, the CSR division of Ambit Group Mumbai has given it new strength, and Ramakrishna Sarada Samiti, a trusted NGO, continues to nurture it with the same care it was built upon.

SATTVA is not a private business, nor a marketplace built for profit. It is a shared space- built with purpose; for the artisans, by the artisans and of the artisans. There are no middlemen, no silent investors- only women, their craft, and a community that believes the maker belongs at the centre of her own story. Every thread carries a name. Every piece carries a life.

When you choose SATTVA, you are not simply buying craft- you become part of something larger. A movement that puts women first, honours handcraft, embraces up-cycling, and commits to sustainability, ensuring the hands behind each creation are seen, supported, and celebrated.

SATTVA ~ For the artisans. By the artisans. Of the artisans.
